“You have got to be fucking—” Elijah caught sighed of the stage and his jaw dropped. “—kidding me.”
On stage, Dom pranced around in a flurry of glitter and feathers and six-inch heels, mouthing to words to RuPaul’s “Champion.” He’d even shaved his legs, and they looked good.
“Told you,” Billy grinned smugly.
“Wow. I . . . don’t even have words. How long has he been doing drag?”
Billy shrugged. “About a year.”
“And he never told me?”

Elijah made a face.
The song on the PA ended. The crowd went wild. Dom curtsied, his lipstick smile wide.
Elijah and Billy met Dom outside the dressing room. He looked like himself again, except for the make-up he was still wearing.
“Great show, Dommeh,” Billy said, clapping him on the back.
“Thanks mate,” Dom beamed. He turned to Elijah. “How about you, Lij? Did you enjoy my performance?”
“It was . . . interesting.” Elijah blushed and grinned. “You make a hot woman, Dom.”
“If you want . . .” Dom moved closer. “I can give you a private show later.”
Elijah blushed some more and pushed Dom away.
