Sam shifted from foot to foot. He wasn't sure about this. It had been all Frodo's idea, anyway.
"Sam?" Frodo asked. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
Sam's eyes flicked from the floor to Frodo's face. Of course he wanted to do this. Theoretically, that is. In practice, he wasn't sure he felt completely comfortable. He'd only ever kissed Rosie Cotton and that was a quick peck in the garden. She'd come over to thank him for the bread his mother baked. It shouldn't even be considered a kiss, anyway.
"Okay," he said shyly, as Frodo stepped closer.
