"Boromir!" Aragorn called sternly. "Give Frodo back The Ring." The look on his face held no room for argument.
Boromir's eyes narrowed, but he forced a smile onto his face and handed The Ring back. He added insult to injury by rubbing Frodo's head like a favoured pet.
Later that night, when Frodo was curled between Boromir and Aragorn, they made it up to him with whispered promises and soft hands.
"We're here to protect you, Frodo," Aragorn said, eyes staring into Boromir's over Frodo's nude body.
"I'd never deceive such a delicate creature," Boromir agreed, eyes silently begging forgiveness.
