Frodo ran, laughing, through the tall grass. He could hear Sam struggling to keep up with him. Taking pity on the other Hobbit, Frodo came to a stop and leaned over, resting his hands on his knees to catch his breath.
"I don't--know how--you--do it," Sam panted.
"I do this on a regular basis, Sam," Frodo laughed. He lowered himself to the ground and stretched out. "Lay down with me, Sam."
Sam groaned, but managed to join Frodo on the soft earth. "This is the part I like," he sighed.
Frodo reached out and took Sam's hand.
